Doosan Infracore said, on August 8, that it will invite 118 middle school students from Seoul, Incheon, Changwon, and Gunsan, where it has worksites, to the Neorigul Culture Village in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, for a two day “Dream Camp” from August 13 – 14, in the wake of summer vacation.
The students will be encouraged and guided to identify and chase their dreams through participation in lectures by professional mentors, including broadcaster Na-rim Park, vocational experience at Job World, and programs that teach self-motivated learning skills and enhance self-confidence.
CEO Yongsung Kim of Doosan Infracore will hold a dialogue about book reading and dreams, as a professional mentor, on August 14, and present students with books, including “Demian” and “Little Prince,” to help them realize their identity and dreams.
The participating students in the camp are mentees of “Dream School,” a corporate social responsibility program Doosan Infracore conducts for middle school students in Seoul, Incheon, Changwon, and Gunsan, where it has worksites. Eighty-two Doosan Infracore executives and staff, who have been serving as partners and mentors for the students, will also take part in the camp.
Dream School, which is conducted jointly with World Vision, an international aid and development agency, is a program designed to help middle school first and second graders, from challenging backgrounds, find their dreams by providing meetings with mentors, experience of various jobs, and a summer vacation camp.
