Doosan Infracore Publishes ‘Sustainability Report’ in Four Languages

Doosan Infracore said, on July 17, that it had published a “Sustainability Report,” which includes the achievements made in its sustainable management activities conducted in 2011 and the Company’s future plans. The Company’s Sustainable Report is the second of its kind following the first published in 2011.

Doosan Infracore’s Sustainability Report offers detailed information on last year’s achievements and groups hem into three important areas; namely, “how to operate a business,” “ways to consider people and the environment,” and “ways to fulfill corporate social responsibility.” The report also highlighted “technology and innovation,” “human resource development,” “shared growth,” and “corporate social responsibility,” issues in which stakeholders have a keen interest. Also notable in the report are interviews with top managers, including CEO Yongsung Kim of Doosan Infracore.

In particular, the report closely analyzes the sustainable management activities and achievements in China, the Company’s strategic region, and the results were presented in a special session. Doosan Infracore is the first company in China to sell a cumulative volume of over 100,000 excavators and has continually engaged in economic and social development activities, including the establishment of 26 “Hope Elementary Schools,” in less developed areas, from 2001. Due to such efforts, the Company has been honored with the top prize at the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Companies Awards” for four consecutive years.

A Sustainability Report is designed to disclose materials and information whose credibility is validated by a third party and is used by investors and external evaluating agencies as an important means to determine corporate value. The report can be used as an introduction to the Company and as a reference when the Company undergoes external assessment.

The report has been published in four languages, namely Korean, English, Chinese and Portuguese. It can be downloaded in pdf format from Doosan Infracore’s website.
