Doosan Infracore(CEO & President Yongsung Kim) will hold a “2012 Doosan Infracore Day” event and invite 1,000 college students to a baseball game between the Doosan Bears and Samsung Lions, which will take place at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium on June 15.
Doosan Infracore Day, which will mark its second annual occurrence this year, is part of a program designed for the Company to increase its ties with college students. The event aims to increase understanding and familiarity of Doosan Infracore, as college students who were selected through events on Facebook and Twitter watch a baseball game together with Doosan Infracore executives and staff.
Participants at the event will be provided with lunchboxes and souvenirs, and selected students will be awarded Doosan Bears uniforms and beverage gifticons through a quiz contest. Following the game, the popular band DJ DOC will hold a “surprise concert.”
The event will also invite 40 mentors and mentees enrolled at the “Dream School,” Doosan Infracore’s corporate social responsibility project designed to benefit teenagers. They will watch the game together, while two middle school mentees will pitch and hit the opening ball for the game. The Dream School is a social program that helps teenagers, who have difficulties finding their aptitude and dreams, discover their cherished dreams through meetings with professional mentors, gaining vocational experience, and attending summer vacation camps.
