Changwon Plant Leads the Way in Minimizing Energy Consumption and Greenhouse Emissions

Doosan Infracore’s Changwon plant entered into a Voluntary Agreement (VA) with Gyeongsangnam-do to minimize energy consumption and greenhouse emissions.
At the “2009 Voluntary Agreement Ceremony for Businesses,” held in the meeting room of Gyeongsangnam-do’s provincial government building on November 19, Director Si-Young Yang of Doosan Infracore, in charge of managing the Changwon plant, signed the agreement.
The VA is a non-regulatory measure for government and companies with high levels of energy-consumption to work hand-in-hand to conserve energy and reduce greenhouse emissions.
Gyeongsangnam-do proposed that participating companies should aim to reduce energy consumption by 5% in five years.
Doosan Infracore will install energy-saving and greenhouse-reduction equipment in order to establish low-consumption processing procedures. If the agreement is kept, the company will receive ▲subsidies for installing energy-saving equipment, ▲tax privileges, and ▲brand promotion privileges from the government.
