At the “46th Day of Trade” ceremony held at COEX on November 30, Plant Manager Gun-Hyeok Lim of Doosan Infracore’s Machine Tools BG received the Bronze Tower Industrial Medal, while Deputy Department Head Jong-Bae Cho of Engines & Materials BG received the Minister of Knowledge Economy’s Commendation.
Plant Manager Gun-Hyeok Lim, who has devoted 35 years of his life to machine tool processing and assembly since entering the company in 1974, has made great contributions to strengthening the company’s competitiveness by leading the way in quality management activities, which have increased productivity while maintaining quality.
Plant Manager Lim pushed for the automation of processing lines. He not only made innovations in the workplace but was also at the forefront of labor-management discussions, bringing about harmony and unity in the organization.
Deputy Department Head Jong-Bae Cho entered the company in 1995. He worked in purchasing and materials divisions, and since 2000, he has been in charge of engine sales in the overseas sales division. He is currently the leader of overseas sales team 2, which is responsible for the entire Europe and Africa regions.
During his 10 years in the overseas sales division, Deputy Department Head Cho has made substantial contributions to the company’s growth by pioneering new markets, reinforcing dealer capabilities and loyalty, and establishing and executing regional marketing strategies.
