Doosan Infracore is in negotiations with Chung Ang University to collaborate in cultivating talented personnel and in subsequent joint R&D and technological exchanges.
Doosan Infracore and Chung Ang University open a collaboration center Doosan Infracore and Chung Ang University have agreed to establish a collaboration center in the Chung Ang University campus, the Chung Ang University-Doosan Infracore Collaboration (CDIC) Center, and held a ceremony to conclude the agreement on November 30 at Chung Ang University’s Venture Training Hall.
Fifty people attended the event, including Vice-President Seung-Cheol Choi of Doosan Infracore and President Beom-Hoon Park of Chung Ang University. The company and the university agreed to carry out joint research and collaboration and signed the agreement.
“The opening of the collaboration center will be a historic moment marking the beginning of strengthened win-win collaboration between Doosan Infracore and Chung Ang University and their accelerated growth. I am confident that as a result, Chung Ang University will become a global hotspot for academic research and a cradle of global talent, while Doosan Infracore will become a global leader based on its material and technological support for Chung Ang University,” said Vice-President Seung-Cheol Choi when he met with staff of Chung Ang University.
Doosan Infracore plans to conduct practical lectures at Chung Ang University’s School of Engineering in 2010 based on on-site case studies. The company will hire Chung Ang University professors as in-house professional skill lecturers. Company officials expect that the company’s technological competitiveness will be enhanced through joint research and mutual exchange.
Meanwhile, since 2007, Doosan Infracore has been carrying out the BK21 project with Seoul National University, KAIST and POSTECH with a goal of developing talent and promoting technological exchange. The company is engaged in various other industry-university collaboration programs with distinguished universities.
