AEO(Authorized Economic Operator: Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification is a system that was formed amidst the global trend for increased security following the September 11 terrorist attacks and is essential for any global corporation.
Companies that fulfill all the standards (86 for import, 84 for export) for the certification set out by the Korea Customs Service receive special treatment not only in domestic customs procedures but also in trade partner countries. The certification system is enforced in 45 countries around the globe, including China, USA, EU and Japan, which account for 80% of Doosan Infracore’s exports.
By acquiring the certification, Doosan Infracore was recognized as a company with levels of safety that are in accordance with customs laws and international standards, and its reliability and safety have been approved by the customs offices of each country. This has not only strengthened the company’s image, but also increased its export competitiveness by acquiring special customs administration privileges such as simplified cargo inspections and fast-track customs entry. Moreover, Doosan Infracore has come to acquire a differentiated competitiveness that allows expedient response to changes in international trade.
Currently there are only eight domestic companies with AA-rating Certifications for import and export, including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. AAA-rating can be acquired after passing comprehensive evaluation in three years.
