Anthony Helsham’s inauguration as CEO of the Construction Equipments BG was held at the Incheon factory on April 2, and was attended by Yong-Man Park, Chairman of Doosan Corporation, Yong-Seong Kim, CEO of Doosan Corporation and Construction Equipment BG executives and staff members.
“I will always solve problems with you and learn from you, and I am pleased to be joining you in Doosan and Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (DICE)’s drive towards global leadership,” said Anthony Helsham.
In his welcoming speech, Chairman Park said that “Mr. Helsham has proven his excellent managerial skills based on his experience and professionalism accumulated over 30 years in the global construction equipment industry. He is the perfect person to invigorate Doosan’s growth and lead us in our drive toward a top three position in the industry.”
After the inauguration, the newly-appointed CEO toured the Incheon factory and met with Construction Equipment BG executives and staff members.
Anthony Helsham, former CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment, will oversee Doosan’s construction equipment businesses including Doosan Infracore’s Construction Equipment BG and Doosan Infracore International (DII). <
5. Vice-Chairman Seung-Cheol Choi Reelected as the Chairman of Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (KOCEMA)

Vice-Chairman Seung-Cheol Choi was reelected as the 8th Chairman at the 16th KOCEMA general meeting on March 30, attended by representatives, executives and staff members of member companies.
In his inauguration speech, Vice-President Choi said that he will “make our nation's construction equipment industry more globally competitive by: ▲ establishing win-win cooperative systems through understanding and harmony among member companies ▲ initiating cooperative purchase of steel frames ▲ providing marketing support ▲ reinforcing KOCEMA’s data-collecting capabilities and services.”

“The domestic construction equipment industry's export dependence is close to 80%. Last year’s global economic recession dealt a major blow to the industry and exports decreased by 54% to 3.2 billion KRW,” said Vice-President Seung-Cheol Choi at the KOCEMA regular general meeting held prior to his inauguration. “This year, we must concentrate on improving production costs, quality and technological competitiveness and prepare for possible delays in the recovery of leading markets by pioneering alternative and new markets.
