The Engine and Materials BG held a technology seminar in Jakarta April 20-22. The 65 participants, who came from 29 different companies, were briefed on the quality and technology of the company? gas and diesel engines for generators as well as various engines used in ships, industrial vehicles and other industrial applications. They disassembled and assembled some engines as well, learning how major parts operate and are configured. The training helped them to understand the engines better and have more confidence in them.
  The seminar was also an opportunity for Doosan Infracore to convey its vision and strategies for future business. Moreover, the new company name and brand were promoted, helping to elevate the corporate image. The event also resulted in a new OEM partner for generator engines.
  Indonesia is a nation of many islands, and the potential market for marine and generator engines is enormous. Therefore, Doosan Infracore plans an ongoing marketing effort in that country to boost sales.
