At their General Meeting, the members of the Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association appointed Doosan Infracore President Choe Sung-chul as their next president.

The Doosan Infracore machine tool factory is operating at night and on holidays in order to accommodate the rush in export orders. Parts are being cut 7,500 hours a year, but time and operating space is inadequate. To better cope with the increased business, the company will increase its R&D staff from 248 to around 400 and invest an additional W12 billion to complete a new machine tool research facility by the first half of next year.

Doosan Infracore President Choe Sung-chul has recently held a series of employee briefings to explain his company's vision of making China a "second home market." He stresses that all available resources will be focused on achieving the goal of ranking among the world's top five in the infrastructure support business by 2015.
