The Paris show provided a look at the technologies now offered by all the industry leaders. We showed our Pro 5 Series of next-generation electric forklifts, which were introduced in Europe last year, as well as our 2006 diesel and gasoline models, which promise major improvements to operator comfort and safety. Our lineup can stand up against the very best machines shown by major competitors such as Toyota and Hyster. Indeed, our B18T-5 attracted a lot of attention for its refined design and metallic paintjob.
Performance was the key to the products shown this year. At the same time, customers were looking for the forklifts with the best ergonomic designs. That is to say, forklifts are now expected to do much more than simply lift and transport heavy items. Now, operators want a cabin space in which they can spend their day comfortably.
These changes in the market mean that we must add more features to our Class II and Class III models. I believe we also have to prepare thoroughly in order to launch our stand-alone "Doosan" brand forklifts by next year.
