The KOCEMA general meeting was held in conjunction with a special ceremony to mark Construction Equipment Day. The event was attended by over 100 people and awards were handed out to individuals who had made exceptional contributions to the industry. Two employees in the Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment BG were so honored:
Production Team 2 Senior Mechanic Supervisor Cho Han-sung of the Construction Equipment BG received a commendation from the Minister of Commerce, Industry & Energy, while Production Team 1 Senior Mechanic Supervisor Lee Ki-man was awarded the KOCEMA President? Prize. On the one hand, Senior Mechanic Supervisor Cho has made key contributions to the promotion of the company? quality management initiative. He improved productivity by expanding the use of sub-assembly lines and increasing the ability to oversee line work. Those efforts improved the work environment and strengthened accident prevention, raising worker satisfaction significantly. He also helped to ready the line for follow-up ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 inspections and played an important role in the certification of the occupational health and safety management system last January.
On the other hand, Senior Mechanic Supervisor Lee developed a robot operation program to match plant processes. His improvements to factory floor layout have increased material flow efficiency, contributing to greater productivity.
