--Wants to help Korea lead global markets through joint technology acquisition and cutting-edge new products

The general meeting of the Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association convened on February 21, and industry representatives elected Doosan Infracore President Choe Sung-chul to serve as the sixth KOCEMA president. In his acceptance speech, President Choe said:
"I will support joint technology development among KOCEMA member companies so that we create cutting-edge products and acquire greater technological expertise and thereby achieve global prominence. I also intend to forge close ties with leading construction equipment organizations and institutions in the US, Europe, Japan, and China to elevate the global stature of our industry in Korea. I will work hard to increase the exports of Korean construction equipment makers."
President Choe graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University and joined Doosan Machinery Co. in 1977. He was promoted to president of Doosan Mechatech in 1999 and has served as the Doosan Infracore CEO since 2005. His experience in and contributions to the industry were recognized by his peers as they named him to lead their industry association.
