Doosan Infracore has set this year’s target for machine tool exports to India at US$40 million, up 30% from the US$31 million figure for 2006. The rapid growth in Indian sales stems from surging demand with the economic upturn in that country. Company officials also say that marketing efforts are now paying off.

Doosan Infracore, a standout in the construction equipment field, is pursuing a strong growth drive. The company expects to maintain the same level of domestic sales as last year but to increase sales in China by some 9,000 units to reach 18,500. Total sales for the year are set at 20,750 units.

Doosan Infracore is intent on joining the world’s top five in the infrastructure support business. To make this happen, company officials believe brand value must be raised over the long term and a consistent image must be maintained. Therefore, the company has adopted the single“ Doosan”name from this year and plans to publicize the new name aggressively.
