The Overseas Marketing Division at the Construction Equipment Business Group hosted a meeting in Vietnam for sixteen dealer representatives from nine Asian countries. The agenda covered the vision and goals for the Doosan Group, Doosan Infracore and the Construction Equipment BG. A briefing and Q&A session was also held on the upcoming brand switch from "Doosan-Daewoo" to simply "Doosan."
The participants discussed sales targets for individual Asian countries, and everyone agreed on the huge growth potential for the region as a whole. They pledged to work closely with Doosan Infracore to achieve growth and development for everyone. The dealers said that the brand changeover would cause some confusion at first. However they acknowledged it was a turning point for improving the Doosan brand image and promised to follow the new CI program and Brand Management Guidelines.
The Q&A session was an opportunity to discuss individual country's current market situation, future prospects and product support requirements. The dealer representatives presented their performance results, and best practices were highlighted as a way to share business know-how.
Doosan-Infracore presented its Best Volume Award to the Indian dealer, Best Growth Award to the Pakistani dealer and Best Strategy Award to the Vietnamese dealer.
