Running for Vision 10-10



Doosan Infracore people have put the world on notice of their intention to join the ranks of the world's Top 5 in the infrastructure support business. On November 15, more than 600 employees and family members from Doosan Infracore and supplier companies started out from the Incheon Plant on an eight-stage, 600km relay marathon. The runners made stops at the Ansan Parts Center and the new Gunsan Plant site before reaching the Changwon Plant on November 24.

This run was an inspirational message urging all Doosan Infracore people to work together to reach the corporate goal: 10% (W1 trillion) in operating profit on W10 trillion in total sales by 2010. Achieving this milestone would make Doosan Infracore one of the world's five largest players in the infrastructure support business.

Before the start of the marathon, a "vision board" was set up for employees to post their individual aspirations and statements of determination. A calligraphy performance was also organized to let employees encourage the runners and wish them success in the marathon.

Vice Chairman Park Yong-man, President & CEO Choe Seung-chul, Pres. & Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer Kim Yong-sung, and numerous employees gathered at the Changwon Plant finish line on November 24 to celebrate the completion of the run.

The marathon confirmed the conviction that the company can reach its goals if everyone pulls together. It also represented the company's tenacity and potential for turning what some may call reckless into a great accomplishment.
