Doosan to be a Unified Brand Globally

The company will use a single brand outside Korea from next year.

Starting next year, "Doosan" will be the sole brand associated with Doosan Infracore products sold everywhere. Brand unification is important for improving brand value and maintaining a consistent corporate identity over the mid-/long term so that Doosan Infracore can join the Top 5 in the global infrastructure support business.

The company has worked hard to familiarize people with the Doosan name since it became part of Doosan organization in April 2005. Large-scale in-house exhibitions have been organized for overseas dealers and customers, and the company enters many of the world's leading trade fairs. Those efforts have brought excellent results, providing management with the confidence to take the next step and unify the brand.

For the past nineteen months, the "Doosan" name has been used in Korea, while the co-brand "Doosan-Daewoo" has been retained outside Korea. Adopting a single application worldwide at this point will eliminate any possible confusion among customers.

Moreover, Doosan Infracore will install a new brand management system to elevate the brand image and strengthen the brand influence. An overseas corporate advertising campaign is also planned, and various PR materials will be distributed worldwide as part of ongoing brand promotion efforts.
