The Doosan Infracore strategy for China can be summed up as "developing a second domestic market". To this end, the company requested the government's permission to establish a holding company in China, and that request was recently granted.
Thus, Doosan Infracore (China) Investment Corp. Ltd. will be established in Beijing with an initial paid-in capital of US$30 million as soon as the registration procedures are complete.
The holding company is needed to strengthen Doosan Infracore's capacity to uncover new business areas and expand existing operations in China. Doosan Infracore (China) Investment will play a leading role in new business development and Doosan Infracore's overall China strategy.
The holding company will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the local subsidiaries that are currently producing construction equipment, machine tools and industrial vehicles. It will also raise the professionalism and efficiency of China operations by providing support on legal affairs, taxation, accounting, public relations, and communication.
