Doosan Infracore engines supplied to Europe are fitted with common-rail injection, so Doosan Infracore Europe organized training on the "E-Doctor" software for troubleshooting the engine control unit (ECU), sensors and harnesses connecting the ECU and sensors in the common-rail system. The session was attended by thirty-two service managers and technicians at the Belgian factory from August 29 to September 1.
  The training was a balanced mix of theory and hands-on practice. Theory mainly focused on ECU design concept and all the parameters used by the ECU to analyze failures and monitor sensor signals. On the practical side, the trainees could see the messages coming from the software when trouble arose and could remotely control the engine.
  The skills learned during the training will boost the effectiveness of the service people in the field, decreasing machinery down time. Enhanced service support is the key to boosting sales in the very competitive European market.
