A firmer base to reinforce product support
The first warehouse at the Ansan Parts Center, completed in 1994, was designed to store more than 60,000 items. The Center's annual sales target at the time was W100 billion. Sales for last year, however, totaled W131.4 billion and the parts inventory exceeded 80,000 items rendering the existing facilities insufficient.
In response, the Company spent W1.5 billion on a three-month project to renovate the existing service center building and build a second warehouse exclusively for construction equipment parts. The new warehouse, with some 4,300 square meters of total floor space, was dedicated on July 28. The first floor can store more than 10,000 large and heavy parts. Over 20,000 lightweight parts are to be kept on the second floor.
Now, Doosan Infracore is in a position to offer clients world-class support and has the capacity to handle parts for next-generation construction equipment, industrial vehicle and engine models. The infrastructure is in place to provide a steady and timely supply of parts worldwide.
