Doosan Infracore excavators top the customer satisfaction survey each of the past four years.
Doosan Infracore solidly leads Chinese excavator market in both sales volume and customer satisfaction. The company scored the highest among twenty-three excavator makers in China in a recent poll conducted by the Customer Satisfaction Index Management Committee under the auspices of the People's Daily Market News Center, China Brand Association, and Business Council. As such this is the most prestigious evaluation of customer satisfaction in the country. Importantly, Doosan Infracore has been ranked first in the excavator category since 2004, the first year the survey was conducted.
The Customer Satisfaction Index Management Committee spends five months each year measuring customer satisfaction with major product categories. Data are collected via online voting and telephone surveys, and a panel of over 40 journalists and industry experts then decide the final rankings. This year, Doosan Infracore excavators received a total score of 34,820 points for a strong lead over the second place finisher, Hitachi. Doosan Infracore China CEO Kim Dong-chul received a certificate and trademark reading "No. 1 Brand in the 2006 Chinese Excavator Market" at an awards ceremony in Beijing on August 27.
The company's success can be attributed to various efforts to instill the image of "Doosan equals the best service" in the minds of customers. For example, the company has been engaged in the "1-2-1 Campaign"(always reply to a complaint within one hour, be at the customer's location within two hours and solve the problem within one day) and the "3 'est' Campaign" (best service, lowest maintenance cost and highest customer satisfaction). At the same time an extensive after-sales service network and diverse service management systems are in place.
In 2005, Doosan Infracore sold 5,406 excavators in China and this year's target is for at least 7,020 units sold. A brisk marketing campaign is underway throughout the country to help the company reach this goal.
