Doosan Infracore has become the first Korean forklift maker to achieve an aggregate output of 300,000 units.

Doosan Infracore has announced its mid-term vision of achieving annual sales of W10 trillion and an operating profit margin of 10% by 2010. Management is confident that the company is now technologically on a par with the world's best. The vision also reflects plans to acquire some competing companies and to expand into new business areas.

Doosan Infracore is sending floor workers as well as top executives to Japan to learn about the Toyota Production System. Starting in September, engineers are being dispatched each month to benchmark operations at other companies. These activities will be expanded to all production sites.
