Target S.A. exhibited the Doosan Infracore V158TI, L126TI and L034TI marine engines at the Expo Nautica Boat Show at Puerto La Cruz July 21-25. Venezuela is the world's fifth-largest oil producing country, and the recent spike in international oil prices has boosted government revenue. As a result, additional support for industry has been introduced, including the building of new fishing vessels and replacement of old marine engines. These programs have increased marine engine demand.
  Target S.A. has been handling Daewoo and Doosan marine engines since 1986. The Venezuelan company is now stepping up promotional activities to increase its sale of fishing vessel engines and expand its presence in the commercial and cargo boat market on Lake Maracaibo, home to at least half of the nation's oilfields.
  Doosan engines currently represent about one quarter of the Venezuelan market.
