The Doosan Infracore Defense Products BG participated in Korean Aerospace & Defense Exhibition 2007 (Seoul Air Show) at the Seoul Airport (in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province) Oct. 16-21. The BG showcased a lineup of technology-intensive armored vehicle models befitting its stature as a leading defense contractor. These included the recently completed K21 next-generation infantry fighting vehicle, which has caught worldwide attention; the Chun-ma (“Pegasus”) short-range self-propelled surface-to-air missile system; the Bi-ho (“Flying Tiger”) twin 30mm self-propelled antiaircraft gun system; two armored wheeled vehicles (4x4 and 8x8) and the K200A1, an improved version of Korean Infantry Fighting Vehicle (KIFV). Mockups of other military hardware were also on display.

Every piece of equipment has been developed with in-house technology and know-how and has been well received in international markets. Visitors to the Doosan Infracore booth were particularly impressed by the K21 and armored wheeled vehicles.

The booth staff members organized a special product PR program for VIPs and negotiated purchase contracts. They expect new orders are forthcoming.

This year marked the sixth running of the biennial Seoul Air Show, which was first held in 1996. More than 250 domestic and foreign defense contractors were in attendance, and the show drew more than 250,000 visitors.
