FLTA Awards in the UK

February 11th saw Doosan-Daewoo collect the prestigious 2006 UK Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) Award for Safety for the B15T AC, part of the Pro-5 Series of next generation of Doosan-Daewoo electric lift trucks.
The Doosan-Daewoo lift truck received high marks for its steering angle sensor and control system, which reduces steering mis-operation.
DIU Product Support Manager Colin Dewdney also walked away with the FLTA's 2006 Employee of the Year Award in recognition of his technical expertise and experience.
Established in 1972, the FLTA is a respected industry body that recommends changes in forklift working practices and promotes the UK forklift sector. Each year the association shortlists award candidates, based on their contributions to industry development.
Then readers of the UK's leading industry publication, Storage Handling Distribution magazine, vote for the nominees of their choices. More than 550 people attended the awards night, where 8 forklift dealers were in intense competition over the honors.
