The Indian subsidiary of Hyundai Motor, located in the southern industrial city of Chennai, is a major customer of Pro 5 series forklifts (both electric and diesel), and the local Doosan Infracore forklift dealer works closely with the Hyundai people. The Forklifts Business Group organized a training program at the Hyundai Motor subsidiary for dealer service engineers and sales representatives as part of increased product and sales support for the next-generation, Pro 5 series.
  The trainees were introduced to the features of the new forklift models and were instructed on the functions and maintenance of the machines. They tested actual machines to practice their troubleshooting skills and repair methods. Of special interest were the operator sensing system (helps prevent accidents when the operator leaves the cap), steering angle sensor of electric trucks (automatically reduces speed and acceleration when the truck is turning) and various performance modes that the operator can select. The participants said that the electric models, which are outfitted with an AC motor, feature the technology advantages (higher energy efficiency, lower maintenance costs) that many Indian customers are now seeking.
  The Forklifts BG will continue to offer regular training on the Pro 5 and GX series forklifts as a way to enhance customer satisfaction and increase exports.
