Doosan Infracore Europe organized four weeks of training on three new wheeled loaders (DL300/400/500) and five new excavators (DX300/340/430/480/500LC) from November 14 to December 16. The trainees were after-sales service people from 17 national dealers in 15 European countries. Familiarization with the new technology will help prevent the typical problems associated with the launch of new equipment into the market.
Detailed theoretical and practical instruction was provided on the new common rail engine (mounted on the DL08 and DV11), with an electrically controlled fuel feed. The new engine is being adopted to conform to Euro III emission standards, and the trainees remarked that the electrical fuel system, with its simplified design, was easier to maintain than the conventional mechanical fuel feed system. They were very satisfied with many of the other improvements. The torque and oil pressure are higher, while the equipment design is ergonomically better and the systems are more durable.
The trainees used the DMS and E-Doctor Program Kits, which are computerized diagnostics developed by Doosan Infracore, to quickly and easily pinpoint problems. These tools were seen to help serviceability.
