Doosan Infracore, newly launched as a member of the Doosan Group, is transforming into a sounder, more future-oriented operation. The corporate image is being raised through publicity of the Doosan brand. Moreover, the company is focusing on developing next-generation models that conform to tighter environmental regulations and on breaking into new markets such as Eastern Europe and the BRICs.

The Engine & Materials BG at Doosan Infracore developed its first in-house engines (the Storm Series) in 1986. Since then, the Business Group's diesel engine production record has surpassed 700,000 units. They come in 34 types for 717 different kinds of vehicles; output is up to 1,500 horsepower.
