The Swedish forklift dealer GTS recently concluded a purchase order from Wallenius Shipping for five of the 3-ton diesel D30S-3s. The privately-owned shipper was founded in 1934 and currently has a fleet of 40 vessels registered in Sweden and Singapore. It transports some two million cars and trucks each year.
Doosan forklifts were tested out by Wallenius for over a year and the equipment rarely broke down despite harsh operating conditions. The operators said performance was excellent yet the trucks were easy to operate. Cooperation and support by GTS were also important factors in the winning of this order.
