Doosan Infracore China Co. gave its top-performing excavator dealers service vehicles as a gift in a ceremony at the Yantai plant on March 17.
DICC achieved a new record for excavator sales in 2006, strengthening its hold as a top market share. As a token of appreciation, the company invited the dealers to a New Year’s celebration on Jeju Island in Korea in January. During the event, fifteen dealers with the best sales, money receipts, after-sales service record and market share in 2006 were promised free service vehicles. The company complimented its dealers for their performance last year and encouraged them to provide better after-sales service in the coming year. The vehicle donation is one way in which Doosan Infracore is supporting their effort.
Competition in the Chinese excavator market is steadily intensifying, and product quality as well as exceptional after-sales services are now become one important consideration when customers make a purchase decision. DICC is responding by upgrading its after-sales services. Starting in 2007, the company promises to complete repair work within 24 hours of a customer request, and regular inspections will be provided free of charge during the first 8,000 hours of operation. Therefore, the after-sales service network is being expanded so a service center is within 200 km from anywhere in the country .
DICC CEO Kim Dong-chul spoke at the truck handover ceremony:
“We have set our 2007 excavator sales target at ten thousand units. Let’s trust each other and draw win-win strategy by improving our market competitiveness through the provision of faster, friendlier services.”
