Doosan Infracore offers world-class products and services in a wide range of areas, including construction equipment, industrial vehicles, machine tools, factory automation systems, diesel engines and defense industry hardware. From this year, the company is making strides toward becoming a truly global player. As a first step, the 2006 performance targets are set at more than W3.23 trillion in sales, up 15% year on year, and operating income of W257.8 billion, a 48% increase over 2005. The company operates the Center for Product Reliability, the largest institution of its kind in Korea, while the R&D unit is staffed by more than 900 engineers. The stated goal is to develop core, strategic technologies that allow technological convergence.

Doosan Infracore has developed and is now ready to commercialize a unique tele-management system for excavators. The TMS employs various information technologies such as the global positioning system, geographic information system and wireless communications, providing the capability to monitor the machine's location, operational status, engine and hydraulics via a wireless internet connection.
