Doosan Infracore uses the event to enhance brand image.
Doosan Infracore exhibited eleven diesel, gas and electric forklifts from the new Pro 5 Series at the International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX 2007), which opened in Birmingham, England March 13-17. During the show, the company aggressively promoted its strategic lineup and new image under the single “Doosan”brand, targeting both the British and continental European markets.
The Pro 5 Series was developed to coincide with the company’s global image makeover. Everything about the forklifts is new, from the next-generation functions to the fresh styling and attractive paint job.
Buyers today are more concerned than ever about environmental and safety issues, and the Pro 5 Series has been developed to address those concerns. Visitors were particularly impressed by the new Operator Sensing System, which includes such features as the mast lock (preventing mast operation without an operator being seated), parking warnings and “return to neutral” function. The trucks are also are equipped with Tier-3 engines to satisfy the latest environmental regulations. At the center of attention was the eye-catching D160S-5, a 16-ton diesel giant.
Executive Vice President & Forklifts BG Chief Kim Woong-bum explains:
“We are strengthening our customer-oriented marketing campaign in Europe this year, and we will provide a stand-out service package. Our aim is to export US$350 million worth of forklifts worldwide in 2007, with US$150 million in sales coming from the European market.”
During the exhibition, Doosan Infracore hosted a gala dinner for dealers. Awards were presented to the best performers and congratulations were made all around for the excellent results turned in last year. At the same time, everyone vowed to do even better in the days ahead.
