Lean Academy Opens

- Cultivating the talented people who can make the corporate vision a reality.
A ceremony was held at the Incheon Plant Training Center to mark the official opening of Lean Academy on December 19. Part of the second floor of the Learning Center was remodeled as a special training facility for people who can be pivotal in Doosan Infracore's achieving its long-term corporate goal. The Lean Academy consists of one main lecture hall and six smaller workshop rooms, a resource library, computers and other support equipment.
All the classrooms are designed for flexibility so that diverse lecture and workshop approaches can be applied. They have wireless internet and conference call access, and abundant resources are available in the Lean Academy. Various conveniences are also provided to allow for a pleasant and relaxed training environment.
The Construction Equipment Lean Pilot Project was applied to a McKinsey training program to develop the initial Lead Academy training system. Modifications and additions were made to make the program fit the company's circumstances and requirements most effectively. During Wave 2 (the second stage), lecturer "lean experts" will be cultivated within the company, while the program and its contents are continuously improved to the point of being run entirely in-house during Wave 3.
