Doosan (Chairman Yongmaan Park) signed a MOU concerning a “Program for teenagers’ emotional development through culture and art” for adolescents from low-income families on May 2 at Doosan Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul. In attendance at the signing ceremony were Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Young-jin Kwak and Doosan Corp President Gwang-ju Choi.

The MOU has been signed to support the development of adolescents’ emotional and character development based on a common understanding that the headline-grabbing teen problems-such as school violence, runaways, and ostracism-have become serious social issues that need to be addressed.

Doosan will select middle and high school students recommended by teachers from schools in three districts in Seoul who need emotional support for stress, injury and a sense of isolation. From July the Company will run programs involving classes, field trips, photography and voluntary services.
