Following the meeting of African dealers held the previous month, Doosan Infracore hosted a meeting of Asian construction equipment dealers this month as part of its efforts to further enhance its sales capabilities in key regions around the world.

Doosan Infracore announced on April 25 that it had held the meeting of Asian construction equipment dealers in Busan from April 22-24. The event was attended by more than eighty people including the representatives of fourteen dealers based in thirteen countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as key officials of Doosan Infracore. The company’s Asian dealer meeting was the first one in four years since the previous meeting held in Yantai, China in 2015.

At the meeting, Doosan Infracore shared with the participants the direction of its sales strategies for the Asian market and its innovative cutting-edge digital technologies used in unmanned autonomous equipment operations and its telematics service called ‘DoosanCONNECT™.’ This was followed by a discussion about the competitiveness of the company’s 20-ton excavator, one of its workhorses for the Asian market, and how to exploit its strengths in the aftermarket business in the region. The participants then shared and discussed recent success stories such as the launch of digital marketing and the management of large accounts in the Thai and Myanmar markets respectively.

The Asian construction equipment market (excluding Korea, China and the Middle East) grew by 60% over the preceding four years to more than 32,000 units in 2018. During the same period, Doosan Infracore’s market share in the region rose by more than 1%, with its market share growing to around 7% as of the first quarter of 2019. Most notably, the company secured new supply contracts at the beginning of 2019 for thirty articulated dump trucks for Singapore and twenty medium-sized excavators for Myanmar.

An official of Doosan Infracore said, “We are continuing to expand our market presence in Asia based on our robust partnership with our dealers in the region,” adding, “We will continue to grow in the market based on our differentiated competitiveness in the aftermarket business sector as well as increasing our sales of mid- to large-sized excavators and special applications and attachments.
