Doosan Infracore Joins Forces with Suppliers to Push for Greater Safety at their Industrial Sites
Doosan Infracore has implemented the health and safety collaboration and cooperation program together with its suppliers for the eighth consecutive year in an effort to help them better protect their employees’ health and safety.

On January 18, Doosan Infracore announced that it had launched the ‘Health and Safety Collaboration and Cooperation Program 2019' together with its twenty-two suppliers as part of its broader effort to create safer workplaces.

The 'Health and Safety Collaboration and Cooperation Program' initiated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2012 aims to encourage companies to join forces with their suppliers to tackle risk factors in their workplaces.

Implementing the ‘Health and Safety Cooperation Program' for the eighth consecutive year since its inception, Doosan Infracore focuses on supporting its suppliers in the areas of risk factor and safety assessment and improvement measures. The company also provides its suppliers with health and safety education, supplies, and safety guides so that they can actually improve their safety performance on the ground.

In 2016, an employee of the company’s supplier saved the life of his colleague with the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills that he acquired through the program.

Doosan Infracore places top priority on the 'Safety Observation System’ (Risk Self-Management) in which the employees of its suppliers take the lead in identifying their risk factors and taking the necessary corrective actions. The Safety Observation System ensures that not only project managers but all their staffers fill out their own risk assessment checklists and risk inspection logs every day while attempting to eliminate potential risks in advance through intensive monitoring.

In 2018, Doosan Infracore acquired the "A" rating, which is given to the top 10% performers in the entire country, in a nationwide evaluation of local companies’ health and safety collaboration and cooperation programs conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. In 2016, Doosan Infracore’s Gunsan plant was honored with the grand prize at the case presentation in the manufacturing sector.

“It is our highest priority to keep our suppliers’ employees safe and healthy for our sustainable corporate growth,” declared an official of Doosan Infracore. “We will spare no effort in helping our suppliers to run their own safety management systems most efficiently.”
