Doosan Infracore has won the Platinum Prize at the 2017 Spotlight Awards hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), a global marketing research organization, for the second consecutive year.
The Spotlight Awards is a competition that evaluates the competitiveness of the PR materials and communication materials of major corporations including Fortune 500 companies. Doosan Infracore took part in the competition with its 2016 Integrated Report published in June and reaped the Platinum Prize, the highest among the platinum, gold, silver and bronze prizes awarded in the printed media category of integrated reports. Doosan Infracore scored 99 points out of 100, receiving perfect scores in five of six areas (first impression, overall narrative, overall visual design, creativity, message clarity, perceived relevance).
An official of Doosan Infracore said, "This year's Doosan Infracore Integrated Report ranked 4th in the general category, which selects the Top 100 Winners from more than 1,500 entries from 12 countries worldwide. Our integrated report ranked 37th in 2015, rose to 22nd in 2016, and has jumped 18 places to 4th this year, reaffirming the prominence of our integrated report worldwide."
In September, Doosan Infracore won the Gold Prize at the ARC Awards, the world's largest corporate annual report competition, in two categories, 'Green/Environmentally Sound Annual Reports' and 'Manufacturing: Equipment & Supplies.' As such, Doosan Infracore's 2016 Integrated Report has won the highest honors at both the LACP and ARC Awards.
Meanwhile, in his closing remarks for the 2017 DJSI Conference held in Seoul on November 1, Richard Howitt, CEO of the IIRC (International Integrated Reporting Council), particularly mentioned Doosan Infracore, stating that the company had published an integrated report for the fifth year running and that its latest report had been honored with the Gold Prize at the ARC Awards of the United States.
