Five Doosan Infracore Engineers Listed in 'Marquis Who's Who in the World'
Five DI engineers have been listed in the 2018 edition of Marquis Who's Who in the World. The listed experts are Senior Research Engineer Chulgoo Kim, Research Engineer Jongyoon Lee, Manager Jeasu Jeon, Research Engineer Seonghun Hong, and Principal Research Engineer Taejoong Wang.
Senior Research Engineer Chulgoo Kim, who is responsible for the design of mid- to large-sized engines, has published ten papers on the fatigue life evaluation and reliability analysis of machine parts, including Reference Stress Based Elastic-Plastic Fracture Mechanics Analysis for Circumferential Through-Wall Cracked Pipes Under In-Plane Bending, which he wrote during his Company-sponsored Ph.D. studies at Korea University in 2015 and which was published in Engineering Fracture Mechanics, a world-renowned journal. He has also won awards for his outstanding research papers at international conferences, and made a number of prominent research achievements.
Research Engineer Jongyoon Lee, who is in charge of diesel combustion system design and analysis, has played a central role in the development of a combustion system for a small and medium-sized Stage-5 engine scheduled for mass production in 2019. He presented the results of his research to various global academic organizations and conferences, including the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) World Congress of the United States and an academic journal registered with the SCI (Science Citation Index). In recognition of such research achievements, he has been listed in 'Marquis Who's Who in the World.'
Jeasu Jeon, manager of the Engine Quality Team, presented his research project at the European Conference on Operational Research in 2012. Three of his research papers have been published in world-famous academic journals, including RESS (Reliability Engineering & System Safety), which featured his paper, Product Failure Pattern Analysis from Warranty Data Using Association Rule and Weibull Regression Analysis: A Case Study.
Seonghun Hong, research engineer in charge of the development of advanced excavator automation technologies, has devoted himself to research on next-generation technologies including unmanned operation and automation, thus contributing to the Company's efforts to secure an ever higher level of technological competence. He has recently focused on research on the mechanism and control of robotic process automation (robot safety and modularization), and has published his research results in internationally prominent journals such as Elsevier. Marquis Who's Who in the World has recognized his achievements.
Principal Research Engineer Taejoong Wang is a specialist in diesel engine exhaust after-treatment. His listing in Marquis Who's Who in the World 2018 was his second honor following his first in 2016.
